You prepare the best delicacies that would be mouthwatering and satisfying your taste buds. But to clean your wok is the most tedious process. But it is very necessary to clean the wok properly to prolong its life. Most of the woks available in the market are dishwasher safe but to get
a spotlessly clean wok it is advisable to give a hand wash. Cleaning the wok after every cook is must as it keeps the wok in good condition and maintain hygiene.
Go through these simple steps for cleaning wok and increase the durability of the wok. If the wok is of cast iron or carbon steel go for hand wash and that too in plain water. But if the wok does not come out clean simply soak in the plain water for hours together and then clean it. Make use of soft sponge or dishrag to clean the vessel and abrasive sponge to remove the food particles and grease from outside the wok. If you find the wok is extra greasy and plain water would not help then put slight amount of dish soap to the cleaning water
If you still come across some stubborn food particles stuck to it, in such cases take some table salt and rub it lightly on the food particles. Take the help of damp sponge to rub the salt thoroughly. Rinse it with water when finished. Keep the wok on the stovetop over low heat and let it dry. Avoid air-drying on dish rack as it may cause rusting.
