Your wok can be with you if you are properly taking care of it. The best way to keep your wok in good condition is to use it everyday. It has been found that caring for the wok is simpler than seasoning. If you follow certain procedures after cooking it will help you to keep you wok in good condition.
1. After cooking wash the wok with hot water, avoid the use of detergent as it removes the natural patina.
2. Do not use any abrasives to remove the hard stains as it will erode off the seasoning process. In case scrubbing is essential, do it and season the wok again.
3. With the help of a cloth wipe it and make it dry. Keep it on the burner over medium heat to remove any moisture left.
4. When you find the wok completely dry remove from fire. Put few drops of oil and wipe the interior with a paper towel. This will keep your wok in perfect condition free from rust even if you are not using it for a while.
