The low fat food you choose keeps you body fit and free from problem causing fats. You have made a good decision of cooking low fat. Learn some new techniques of making healthy low fat food and use fat skimming cooking techniques for further benefits. But first make your kitchen ready with all the utensils required for the purpose. If your kitchen is well tooled with all the stocks of good utensils and appliances you are already on the way of low fat cooking. This is not all, some tested and tried methods can add to your low fat cooking.

These simple methods will make your cooking easy and no doubt very healthy and nutritious. Before you start cooking make all the preparation of cutting, measuring and marinating. The ingredients to be cooked should be cut into bite –sizes pieces so that they cook quickly and evenly. This will require considerably less for cooking. When you are planning for stir-fry, heat the wok at least for one or two minutes before putting oil and other ingredients. Oil which when put in the wok, swirl it around to coat the entire cooking surface. Cooking should be done in proper order to retain all its nutrients like adding the aromatic seasonings first, followed by protein then the denser vegetables and lastly the softer and leafier vegetables.

Prevent the food from burning by moving the food in between with the help of spatula or chopsticks. The food absorbs the heat and gets cooked within less time. But don’t clutter the wok with too much food because excess food cools off the heat and prevents it from browning and getting cooked evenly. To avoid this cook food in two, three steps like cooking meat first, remove it, cook vegetables and again return the meat to the wok.
